Accessible Cycling at Moors Valley

The Accessible Cycling programme is managed by Dorset Council’s Health and Activity Team and operates from the Moors Valley Golf and Activity Centre.

Moors Valley is an accredited Wheels for All Centre and the fleet of adaptive bikes provide a variety of options to suit a range of needs.

Income from this service is used to maintain the fleet of accessible bikes that were secured through a range of funding opportunities and partnership working with the Wessex Accessible Cycling Club.

Getting started

All new participants must have a 1-2-1 consultation with one of our trained team to get started, this can be carried out with individuals or as a group. In order to set this up please click here to complete our online enquiry form.

Please note most consultations are carried out on a Tuesday and cost £5.00 per participant. (We are currently quite busy with enquiries but will come back to you as quickly as possible).

1-2-1 Consultation and next steps

During your pre-booked 1-2-1 consultation, which can be tailored for individuals or a group,  you will get to try out some bikes and discuss which would best suit your needs and options to start cycling at Moors Valley on a more regular basis. Moving forward the hire cost for an accessible bike is £5. Carers can use an additional bike for free if required. Full details on availability and advance booking procedures will be fully explained during your initial consultation.
