    The Barn Café at the Visitor Centre is now open every day from 9am - 4.30pm.

    Roadworks are in place near the entrance from 9.30am to 3.30pm Monday 26 & Tuesday 27 January. Moors Valley is open as normal. Please allow extra time for your journey.

    Halloween Illuminated Trail Thursday 23 October is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Ticket holders will be contacted by their ticket provider as soon as possible.

    The Room On The Broom Trail is closed from Wednesday 20 May to Friday 22 May for essential path maintenance.

Moors Valley Railway’s Grand Summer Gala

Join us for Moors Valley Railway’s Grand Summer Gala, one of the highlights of the year, celebrating steam, heritage and family fun on the Moors Valley Railway.

Across the weekend, the railway will be alive with steam locomotives in operation, alongside a wide range of attractions to enjoy around Lakeside Picnic Area and Kingsmere Station.

Tickets and Facilities

Railway tickets can be purchased on the day at Kingsmere and Lakeside stations. Both cash and card payments are accepted.

  • Refreshments, snacks and ice creams are also available at Lakeside Station
  • Kingsmere Station shop will be open for souvenirs and gifts

Gala Day Rover Tickets

Make the most of your visit with a Gala Day Rover ticket, providing unlimited travel on the day of purchase, plus access to:

  •  a non-stop round trip from Kingsmere Station.
