A Golf Course Features A Grassy Landscape With Sand Bunkers, Trees With Autumn Foliage, And A Cloudy Sky.

Course and Facilities

Owned and managed by Dorset Council, the Moors Valley Golf Course is an 18-hole course extending along the valley of the Moors River and covers a total of 6337 yards, and includes four par 5s, ten par 4s and four par 3s. An 11-hole option is also available, as well as practice nets and a putting green. 

Designed by Hawtree over 30 years ago, the mature course is both challenging and enjoyable for golfers of all abilities. Each hole has its own character, adding variety and interest within an attractive countryside setting. 

5-Hole Pitch & Putt Golf Course 

The 5 hole pitch and putt area is perfect for beginner golfers and families. 

This short course has holes between 50m-80m giving beginners and families an introduction into the game of golf.  Also suitable for regular golfers wishing to improve their short game. 

This area is sometimes reserved for coaching so please book in advance by phoning 01425 479776. £5.00 per person, family ticket £20 (up to 6 people), includes equipment. 

Frisbee (Disc golf)

Frisbee (Disc) Golf has arrived at Moors Valley Golf & Activity Centre.

A great fun activity for all the family.

£5 per person or £20 for a group of up to 6.

Outdoor Fitness Area 

The new Golf and Activity Outdoor Fitness Area is a great, free facility for local people to improve their fitness. The area is used to deliver instructor-led sessions which are a great way for beginners to get started. Please ask the team inside the Golf and Activity Centre if you’d like to find out more.

Table Tennis  

Table tennis equipment is available for use outside of the Golf and Activity Centre. Table tennis bats are available to borrow for free – please just ask the team.

Golf and Activity Centre 

Home to Dorset the Council’s Health and Activity Team, visitors are welcome to pop in to find out about local opportunities to help you get active – including community health walks, health cycle rides, accessible cycling, orienteering and exercise referral. You will find a selection of golf essentials in the shop, alongside equipment for Nordic Walking, yoga and fitness.

Club House Bar and Food 

Moors Valley Golf Club House, managed by the Golf Club, offers a small, varied menu and a range of beverages, available daily to members, season ticket holders and pay and play golfers.
