Evening Barn Hire

Set in an easily accessible location with plenty of parking and seating for up to 120 people, our beautiful 18th century barn can be hired for evening functions from 7pm to midnight.

Moors Valley Railway

The perfect party for train mad children. Let the train take the strain and enjoy a picturesque journey along the banks of Moors Lake with your friends and family. Then return to Kingsmere Station where you can have a picnic and watch the trains go by.

Go Ape

Gather your tribe and celebrate in style with a forest adventure at Go Ape Moors Valley. There’s a high ropes course suitable for all youngsters over 1m tall, plus Nets Adventure to add some bounce to your birthday. Continue your party in the Go Ape Forest Shelter, the perfect place to cut your cake. Then there are party bags and even free invitations to make this birthday the best one yet!

Self-led Activities

Orienteering: An ideal team-building activity; either follow a pre-determined course or find as many markers as possible within a time limit.

Cycle Hire: Take a leisurely ride along the waymarked cycle trails or challenge yourself on our ‘through the forest’ singletrack route.

Go Ape Tree Top Adventure: As well as being great for family and friends, Go Ape is also a brilliant way to escape the office. Get in touch with the Go Ape Events Team to get your team out in the forest. You can rely on the friendly staff to guarantee you a day out to remember. Golf: Everyone is welcome to play on the Moors Valley 18-hole golf course. The Golf Club at the Golf Centre also serves food and has a licensed bar.

Written permission must be granted by the land-owning organisation; i.e. Forestry England for events to be held in Moors Valley Forest, and Dorset Council for those to be held in the Country Park. For events that will use both areas of Moors Valley, permission must be given by both organisations.

Can I bring a barbecue (BBQ)?

To protect the forest and wildlife, open flames, including, but not limited to BBQs, camping stoves, pizza ovens and fires are not permitted at Moors Valley.

Is there a cash point at Moors Valley?

No. However our parking pay stations and all outlets will accept payment by cards and contactless devices.

Are there baby changing facilities at Moors Valley?

Yes. There are cubicles with baby changing facilities within both the ladies and gents toilets. There is also a separate large cubicle with baby changing facilities.
