Easter Hunt
Saturday 2nd – Monday 25th April 2022
Rosie the rabbit has hidden 11 giant Easter egg shapes around Moors Valley. Each egg has a letter written on it. Your mission is to solve the clues, spot the eggs and write down the letters to work out the Easter phrase.
- Start your Easter hunt by heading to the Visitor Centre and picking up your clue sheet from one of our Rangers
- Clue sheets are £2.50 and include an answer sheet, bug bingo and a little something to power you through your hunt
- Once you’ve completed the hunt write your answer and contact details on the answer sheet and post it in the Easter box at the Visitor Centre to be in with a chance of winning a prize
Easter Crafts

Get crafty this Easter in Ranger Den with crafts of sand art and painting. Let your child’s imagination run wild as they make their very own masterpiece with bright, colourful sand.
Ranger Den
12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd April 2022
Open from 1 – 4pm
Come along and visit our Ranger Den, there is so much to see and do! Meet the resident animals, including Harvest Mice, minibeasts from the meadows and Microworld, celebrating everything tiny.
No need to book for the Ranger Den, just come along and join in. You can find the Ranger Den at the back of the Visitor Centre, opposite the toilets.
The Ranger Den is accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. All ages and abilities are welcome.
Spring Trundle
13th and 20th April 2022
Come and join our Rangers for a guided walk around Moors Lake to see what signs of spring are on display.
You might even get to meet some of our Ranger Den inhabitants that are freshly out of hibernation!

See and hear the evening come alive at Moors Valley. Some of the local wildlife may include frogs, toads, foxes, owls and minibeasts.
Please be prepared for wet, muddy and uneven ground, and don’t forget to wrap up warm and dry.
Easter Train Trail
9th – 24th April 2022
Why not combine a return trip on the train with our Easter Train Trail for the chance to win a prize? Simply purchase a trail sheet for £1.50 from Lakeside Station and see what you can spot around the railway.
Cycle Hire
Open every day from 9.30am
Spring is here so why not blow away those cobwebs and hop on a bike?
We have a large fleet of adults bikes and a good selection of child bikes in various sizes, plus child seats, trailers and tag-a-longs.
Food and Drink

Seasons have got an egg-cellent selection of Easter themed cakes and drinks, so why not treat yourself after a busy day of exploring? Seasons will be open from 8.30am – 5.30pm from 11th – 24th April. Or celebrate Easter in style at Norris and Binglewort Ice Cream kiosk with a delicious Easter themed ice cream.

Fans of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s popular storybooks will delight in our large range of Gruffalo merchandise, alongside some of the other much-loved characters such as Zog and Stick Man.
We also stock a selection of carefully chosen produce from a range of local suppliers including From Dorset with Love, Filberts, Moores Biscuits, the Dorset Ginger Company and Dorset Tea.
