Connect with nature and feel good

We’ve worked with WWF to create a new, interactive family-friendly trail that provides an exciting way to get your daily dose of nature whilst learning about the great outdoors at the same time.

Our winter trail is available until the end of March, when the panels will then change to reflect the Spring/Summer season until July.

What to expect on the trail

WWF sign about forest sound

Themed panels along the trail are designed to spark curiosity and adventure, complete with fun activities to help children explore the wonders of England’s forests and compare them to the Amazon rainforest. With every step, you’ll find new ways to experience and appreciate the natural world together.

You can also download our free Feel Good Forest activity pack before you visit.

About the trail route at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest

Designed for families with children aged 6-12 years, this 1.5 mile trail follows the play trail, starting and ending at Go Ape. The trail is a mixture of surfaces that meander through the forest. Along the way there are some mild gradients with numerous resting places and picnic benches. There is a tramper hire scheme available, please contact the visitor centre to make a booking.
