Car and motorcycle charges
There are no admission charges per person for Moors Valley, but vehicle charges apply.
- If the car park reaches capacity, it will be temporarily closed.
- We encourage visitors to arrive before 10am, or after 2pm where possible during school holidays and Bank Holiday weekends to avoid our busiest times.

We price our car park competitively, using the income we receive to maintain and develop our facilities and play equipment and protect the forest and its unique wildlife. We continually look for ways to improve Moors Valley to ensure it stays as one of the best countryside recreation facilities in the country.

- The Moors Valley parking charges above are for cars with up to 8 seats. For vehicles with 9 or more seats, coach and minibus charges apply.
- Season Tickets are available for frequent visitors.
- No charges apply for motorcycles. Please use the special motorcycle bay provided in the car park.
Weekend early bird special
On a Saturday or Sunday, early morning parking until 10.30am, is £2.50. You can pay when you arrive or anytime before 10.30am but you must exit before 10.45am or normal charges will apply.
Parking for disabled visitors
There are 13 accessible parking spaces near the ice cream kiosk. Blue badge holders pay standard car charges.
Parking for carers
Dorset Max card and Dorset Carers card holders can park all day for the price of up to one hour of parking when they show their valid Dorset Max card or Dorset Carers card at the Visitor Centre between 9am and 4.30pm (terms and conditions apply). Please see our Accessibility page for more details about making the most of your visit.
Ticketless parking
We have a ticketless barrier system, using number plate recognition. At the entry barrier, your number plate will be recorded and the barrier will lift. At the end of your visit, enter your vehicle registration number at the pay stations and pay the fee due according to the length of your visit. We have one pay machine that accepts cash and card payments and four pay machines that accept card and contactless payments only, receipts are available. The exit barrier will read your number plate and lift automatically once you have successfully paid.
Parking concessions
Visitors who receive enhanced mobility‑related support may be eligible for a parking concession.
To receive the concession, please visit the Information Point inside the Visitor Centre between 9.00am and 4.30pm, where a ranger will ask to see one piece of valid evidence from the list below:
- Higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP) letter showing enhanced mobility rate
- Higher rate mobility component of Child Disability Payment
- War pensions mobility supplement
- Armed forces independence payment
- Attendance allowance
- Restricted mobility parking permit
