Moors Valley Golf Course is the perfect place to ‘Get into Golf’ or to refresh your skills. Golf is an engaging and challenging sport that everyone can enjoy, which offers many physical and mental benefits.
From improving physical fitness, maintaining mental agility and providing the opportunity to make and meet friends on a regular basis, golf is a great way to keep active and social, all while enjoying some fresh air.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or an improver looking to develop your existing skills, Moors Valley Golf Course offers a range of opportunities for adults.
Golf for Beginners
These courses are offered across four sessions and are perfect for anyone thinking of starting to play golf. Participants will learn the basics, including swing technique, chipping and putting and will get a chance to play a game on our short course. All sessions are delivered by a PGA Professional and all equipment will be provided.
Learn Golf in a day
This course will take you from a complete beginner to playing over our short course in six hours. All participants will learn the basic swing technique, chipping, putting and bunker shots and how to play with all the various golf clubs in a set. The session is delivered by a PGA Professional and all equipment will be provided. Why not take a day to learn a game you can play for a lifetime?
Golf for Improvers
These courses are generally offered across four sessions and are the perfect step up from a beginner course, or ideal for anyone who has played golf before and would like a refresher to develop their existing skills. Participants will get the chance to finish with a short round on the Moors Valley Golf Course or Short Course practice area, depending upon availability of tee times.
Accessible Golf
Accessible Golf enables everyone to enjoy the sport regardless of age, health condition or impairment. Golf is a great way to improve your fitness and mobility in beautiful surroundings.
These courses and sessions are offered to groups and individuals with additional needs to provide support to help you get started.

5-Hole Pitch & Putt Golf Course
This short course has holes between 50m-80m giving beginners and families an introduction into the game of golf. Also suitable for regular golfers wishing to improve their short game.
This area is sometimes reserved for coaching so please book in advance by phoning 01425 479776. £5.00 per person, family ticket £20 (up to 6 people), includes equipment.
Not sure where to start?
For those who wish to learn the basics of golf or brush up on their skills, the Health and Activity Team encourage individuals to get involved in the above group sessions for additional support and engagement. If you are unsure of the suitability of a session, please get in touch so we can chat through your individual requirements. A limited one-to-one tuition programme is also available.
Frisbee (Disc golf)
Frisbee (Disc) Golf has arrived at Moors Valley Golf & Activity Centre.
A great fun activity for all the family.
£5 per person or £20 for a group of up to 6.
