An outdoor exhibition exploring some of the key challenges facing our world and its inhabitants.
Earth Photo 2022
A picture is worth a thousand words. Now more than ever, photography has the power to celebrate the natural world and create conversations about our environment.
Developed in partnership by Forestry England and the Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers), Earth Photo is an international competition and exhibition which rewards photographs and videos that tell stories about our planet, its inhabitants, its beauty, and its fragility.
Each year, Earth Photo invites photographers and filmmakers from around the world to enter images and/or short films that focus on the themes of People, Place, Nature, Changing Forests and A Climate of Change.
The entries are selected by a judging panel made up of experts from the fields of photography, film, geography, and ecology, including distinguished curators, environmentalists, writers and artists, and chaired by Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer, Marissa Roth.
Out of thousands of images sent from around the world, 56 outstanding photos and videos by 35 artists were shortlisted for Earth Photo 2022.
A selection of shortlisted photos will be shown at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest from 11 July to 19 September 2022.
